On Jan 25, the first day of the Year of the Rat, the Chinese Embassy in Iceland and the Iceland mainstream media Fréttablaðið collaborated and published Spring Festival special edition in Icelandic.
The special edition introduced the tradition and customs of spring festival and new trends in Modern China with vivid stories and beautiful pictures. By presenting the changed and unchanged aspects of the spring festival, the special edition elaborates the fast social and economic development in today's China and Chinese people's deep-rooted respects towards Chinese history and culture. Chinese Ambassador Jin Zhijian sends spring festival greeting message on the special edition, and expressed best wishes to friends from all walks of life in China and Iceland. He reviewed the great achievements in China's development over the past 70 years and latest development of bilateral relations between China and Iceland in 2019. He welcomed all friends to participate in the Happy Chinese New Year 2020 cultural activities hosted in Iceland next week and experience the charm of Chinese culture.
