On October 22, Ambassador Jin Zhijian paid a visit to Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre, and met with Ms. Svanhildur Konráðsdóttir, director of Harpa to discuss future cooperation.
Ambassador Jin spoke highly of the important role of Harpa in promoting Icelandic culture and providing the facilities for international exchanges. He said that Chinese company was glad to be offered opportunities to participate in the construction of Harpa, and today Harpa has become a most distinguished landmark of Reykjavik and enchanting destination for Chinese vistors. In recent two years, the Chinese Embassy has successfully held China Night of Arctic Circle Assemly 2018 and Happy Spring Festival Open Day Event in Harpa. The embassy is willing to further cooperate with Harpa on the exsiting basis, to host diversified activites and provide better service for the Chinese tourists.
Ms. Konráðsdóttir welcomed Ambassador's visit and introduced the development of Harpa. She expressed that Harpa was willing to work together with the Chinese embassy and relevant Chinese cultural groups for future exchanges in a more diversified way, and contributed to the culture exchanges between the two countries and friendship between the two peoples.
