On April 30, Ambassador He Rulong led the Embassy’s Running Team to participate in the 4th “Embassy Run” held by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland. The Icelandic Minister of Foreign Affairs Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir led the group of about 60 runners for the event, including Ambassadors of the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Canada to Iceland. Seven members of the Embassy’s Running Team actively participated in the running.

Before the run, Foreign Minister Gunnarsdóttir joined all runners for a group photo and made a few remarks to cheer them on. She then led the run. The running route passes through every diplomatic mission in Iceland and the city center of Reykjavík, covering a total distance of approximately 10 kilometers. When the runners arrived at the Chinese Embassy, the Embassy staff greeted them in front of the Embassy building with different sports supplements.

After the run, Foreign Minister Gunnarsdóttir and all other runners attended a cocktail party at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, where she talked fondly with all the participants and offered many photo opportunities. Through participation in the “Embassy Run,” the Chinese Embassy demonstrated a spirit of sportsmanship and promoted bilateral exchanges.
