On 19 February, Ambassador He Rulong and his wife were invited to attend the Year of the Horse Spring Festival Dinner jointly hosted by the Icelandic Chinese Trade Council (ÍKV) and the Icelandic Chinese Cultural Society (Kím). Approximately 50 guests attended the event, including  Chairman Jonina Bjartmarz and board members of ÍKV, representatives of the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs, former ambassadors to China , as well as Counsellor Dai Ke from the Embassy. 

Ambassador He extended warm Spring Festival greetings to the guests and shared the positive developments of bilateral relations over the past year. He pointed out that China's development has served as a consistent and stabilizing force for global economic growth, injecting valuable certainty into an uncertain world. He expressed hope that friends from all sectors of Iceland would continue to care for and support friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and Iceland.

The atmosphere at the dinner was warm and lively, with a lot of singing by the guests in celebration of the Spring Festival.
