On December 12, Ambassador He Rulong called on Minister Eyjólfur Ármannsson of Infrastructure of Iceland. Counsellor Yang Jing attended the meeting.

Ambassador He briefed the Minister on the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, emphasizing that China will steadfastly implement the 15th Five-Year Plan and continue to advance high-level opening up. China stands ready to work with Iceland to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, continuously deepen cooperation in areas such as green transition, infrastructure development, and people-to-people exchanges, with a view to bringing more benefits to both countries and their peoples.
Minister Eyjólfur Ármannsson spoke positively of China's remarkable achievements in infrastructure development and poverty alleviation, and expressed Iceland’s willingness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China and to jointly work for friendly exchanges between countries of different sizes based on mutual learning and emulation.
