Mm. Shen Ting, wife of Chinese Ambassador to Iceland and Head of the Women's Group of the Chinese Embassy invited a delegation from Sichuan to present a captivating cultural performance at Landakotsskóli on 24 September. Liu Quansheng, President of the Sichuan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Yang Jing, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Iceland, attended the event.

The performances of long-spout teapot, Qiang flute, Tai Chi martial arts, and face-changing in Sichuan opera dazzled the audience with their brilliance. Everyone was eager to experience and interact. Applause and cheers erupted. After the show, attendees tasted traditional Chinese snacks, admired intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, and took part in DIY activities such as fan-making and woodblock printing. In a lively and festive atmosphere filled with laughter, children held up in hands their own artworks, beaming with joy.

Jenny McKeown, Vice Principal and Head of the International Department at Landakotsskóli expressed heartfelt gratitude to the embassy for the wonderful presentation and to the performers for their outstanding shows, which presented the students with a valuable opportunity to experience the beauty of traditional Chinese culture. She also expressed hopes for continued collaboration and cultural exchanges in the future.
