On August 9, 2022, Ambassador He Rulong conferred 2021 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad to Dr. Zhao Bin, a Chinese awardee studying in Iceland, and talked with him about Chinese students’ studying and living in Iceland.

    Ambassador He extended his warmest congratulation to Dr. Zhao Bin for being the first Chinese student in Iceland who received the award, and said that the Embassy attaches great importance to education, culture and people-to-people exchanges between China and Iceland, actively creates favorable conditions and provides assistance for Chinese students to study in Iceland. Ambassador He hoped Dr. Zhao Bin will continue to work assiduously and remain persistent, and make full use of what he has learned in Iceland, so as to serve the motherland and contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

    Dr. Zhao Bin spoke positively about his study and living experience in Iceland, thanked the motherland for his education and the Embassy for its thoughtful support to overseas students, and said that he will cherish the opportunity of receiving the award, bear in mind Ambassador’s thought-provoking words, and continue to finish his study so as to serve the motherland and strive for more achievements in the future.
