Ambassdor of China to Iceland JIN Zhijian holds a lecture on the Belt and Road Initiative at the Business School of the University of Iceland

On 18th February Ambassdor of China to Iceland JIN Zhijian held a lecture on the Belt and Road Initiative for the students of the Business School of the University of Iceland.

Ambassador JIN gave a detailed introduction to the idea, content and the tremendous success of the Belt and Road Initiative since it was put forward more than 5 years ago. He stressed that although the Initiative originates from China, the opportunities and achievements belong to the whole world. China is willing to join hands with the international community to make the Belt and Road Initiative an important platform for building a community of shared future for mankind. Ambassador JIN also pointed out that since the diplomatic ties were established in 1971, the bilateral relations between China and Iceland has witnessed great progress, the Belt and Road Initiative is set to bring even more opportunities to the bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, infrastructure, tourism and Arctic.

Ambassador JIN then answered questions raised by the students. They spoke highly of the lecture and wish the Belt and Road Initiative could bring more chances to Iceland-China relations as well as to the world.
