On September 22, Ambassador Jin Zhijian was invited to attend annual Festival of Nations - West Iceland in Akranes, which is held by the Society of New Icelanders. More than 300 representatives of immigrants from various countries and local people participated.
Ambassador Jin delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, and expressed his appreciation to this event. He fully affirmed the important role that cultural diversity plays in social development, introduced the great achievements of China in the past 70 years since its founding, and expressed great willingness to strengthen cultural exchanges with other countries.
The teachers and students from the Northern lights Confucius Institute of the University of Iceland and some Chinese tourists joined the event, and staged calligraphy, martial arts, chorus and other wonderful performances.
