On February8, Icelandic Chinese Trade Council(IKV) and the Iceland-China Cultural Association(KIM) held a Spring Festival celebration Dinner for the Year of the Dragon. Ambassador He Rulong was invited to attend the event.

Ambassador He pointed out in his speech that China has always adhered to development philosophy of openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation. In 2023, China’s GDP grew by 5.2%contributing 32% of the world economic growth.China remains the largest driving force behind global economic growth.

Ambassador He said that 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the China-Iceland Free Trade Agreement entering into force. China is willing to further strengthen cooperation with Iceland with a view to jointly enhancing promotehigh-quality development of China-Iceland economy and trade.

Three members of IKV and KIM shared their wonderful experiences in China and entertained others with live performances. Everyone enjoyed the Chinese New Year in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere.
