Ambassador He mentioned in his speech that, as the Chinese economy enjoys long-term positive fundamentals, China will continue to be the primary driving force for the world economic growth and bring important opportunities to the wider world. China welcome Icelandic enterprises to do business in China and will continue to provide a market-oriented and law-based international business environment.

Permanent Secretary Martin Eyjólfsson said that he is honored to attend the reception on behalf of Foreign Minister Þórdís Kolbrún R. Gylfadóttir. Although China and Iceland are different in size and national conditions, they have maintained friendly relations. It is hoped that Iceland-China friendship will continue generations after generation and cooperation between the two countries in various fields will be upgraded to a new level.

The reception also featured Mid-Autumn Festival with carefully selected moon cakes. Guests exchanged views over China's development and China-Iceland friendship in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
