On November 22, Ambassador He Rulong met with Chairman Jónína Bjartmarz of Icelandic-Chinese Trade Council (ÍKV).

Ambassador He briefed on the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, emphasizing that the Party Congress is not only of epoch-making significance in China's development process, but also have a profound impact on the wider world. Ambassador He spoke highly of the success of the 5th CIIE which once again clearly demonstrated China's confidence and determination in opening up its market and sharing development opportunities with the rest of the world.  Ambassador He also briefed Chairman Bjartmarz on China's latest COVID-19 prevention and control policies.

Chairman Bjartmarz highly appreciated Ambassador He for his introduction, expressed that economic cooperation and trade are very important not only to enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples, but also promote the development of bilateral relations between Iceland and China. ÍKV is willing, as always, to serve as a bridge for the development of mutually beneficial and win-win economic and trade relations between Iceland and China.
