On November 9, Ambassador He Rulong met with the Minister of Culture and Commerce of Iceland Lilja Dögg Alfreðsdóttir. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as culture, tourism and trade.

Ambassador He spoke highly of the long-term support and contribution Minister Alfreðsdóttir has made for China-Iceland relations, and expressed his willingness to work with the Minister to promote post-pandemic cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as tourism, culture and trade, to the benefit of the two countries and two peoples.

Minister Alfreðsdóttir recalled with joy her travel experience in China and expressed her willing to enhancing communication with the Chinese side to tap the full potential of bilateral cooperation in tourism, geothermal and trade, with a view to promoting people-to-people ties and the furtherance of bilateral relations.
