On July 28, Ambassador He Rulong met with Chairman Jónína Bjartmarz, her spouse Petur Thor Sigurdsson, board members Ársæll Harðarson and Einar Rúnar Magnússon, and  Secretary General Ólafur Stephensen of Icelandic-Chinese Trade Council (ÍKV).

Ambassador He expounded that, since the first half of this year, the Chinese government has efficiently coordinated pandemic response and socioeconomic development, and effectively implemented a package of policies to stabilize the economy. Thanks to these measures, the Chinese economy has been recovering and rebounding, and fruitful achievements have been realized. Ambassador He expressed his hope that ÍKV will continue to be a bridge connecting China and Iceland, and remain committed to promoting economic cooperation and trade between the two countries.

Chairman Bjartmarz and board members thanked Ambassador He for the meeting, spoke highly of the achievements of the Chinese economy, and expressed their willingness to further contribute to the sustained growth of economic cooperation and trade between China and Iceland.
