On May 18, 2022, Ambassador He Rulong visited Össur and met with its President & CEO Sveinn Sölvason and Vice President of Össur Asia-Pacific Manufacturing and Sourcing Jónas G Jónasson.

Ambassador He spoke positively of Össur's business development in China over the past 15 years, and was pleased to see Össur making new progress thanks to the mutually beneficial cooperation with its Chinese counterparts. Ambassador He said the Chinese market has great potential, and hoped that Össur would continue to expand its strategic development in China and inject new impetus into the economic cooperation and trade between China and Iceland.

Sveinn Sölvason warmly welcomed Ambassador He and expressed full confidence in the future prospect of China’s development. Össur will continue to expand its business by deepening cooperation with China. Sölvason also showcased a variety of Össur prosthetic and orthopaedic products.

Ambassador He later had a guided tour of Össur’s R&D department and production line.
