On February 26th, 2022, His Excellency He Rulong, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Iceland, arrived in Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. Her Excellency Ambassador Estrid Brekkan, Chief of the Protocol Department of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Iceland, greeted Ambassador He at the airport. 

    On behalf of the Icelandic government, Ambassador Estrid Brekkan warmly welcomed Ambassador He to his new post. Ambassador He thanked the Icelandic side for its warm hospitality, saying that China-Iceland relations have enjoyed sound and steady development since the establishment of diplomatic ties. As the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Iceland, he looks forward to working with the Icelandic side to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and bring bilateral relations to new heights, benefiting two countries and peoples.
