In order to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 and protect the health and safety of passengers from Iceland to China, the specific requirements for those China-bound passengers applying for Health Declaration Certificate (HDC Code) with infection history, close contact or suspected symptoms are as follows:
I. Classification
1. Infection history refer to those who were diagnosed with Covid-19 or whose PCR, IgM or IgG antibody test result was positive (not due to vaccination).
2. Close contacts refer to those who have been a close contact with confirmed, suspected or asymptomatic cases in the past 14 days.
3. Suspected symptoms refer to those showing suspected symptoms such as fever, cough, and diarrhea in the past 14 days, or have been refused boarding by the airline due to higher temperature or suspected symptoms.
II. Requirements for people with infection history
1. Preliminary examination
Applicants need to prepare and fill in the Declaration Form for Persons Infected with Covid-19 four weeks ahead, send required materials as below to chinaemb@simnet.is with the subject as "Confirmed Recovery + Name".
(1) Front page of passport
(2) A Valid Chinese Visa or residence Permit
(3) Lung CT or X-ray diagnosis certificates issued by local hospitals
(4) Two negative PCR test certificates with a sampling interval of over 24 hours.
2. Self-quarantine and health monitoring
Those passed our preliminary examination are required to undergo self-quarantine and health monitoring for at least 14 days and complete the Personal Health Monitoring Form.
3. Applying for HDC Code before boarding
If everything is going well during the self-quarantine and health monitoring period, applying for HDC Code can be carried out according to the routine requirements. (For details, please refer to links below)
If the nucleic acid test result is positive again before boarding, you need to wait until recover and complete the previous steps again.
If the IgM antibody test is positive again before boarding (only for unvaccinated people), the process should be restarted from the "quarantine management and health monitoring". In this case, it is not necessary to provide Lung CT certificate and two nucleic acid test certificates again.
III. Requirements for close contacts
Applicants are expected to undergo self-quarantine and conduct health monitoring for at least 14 days and complete the Personal Health Monitoring Form.
They should take PCR tests on the first, fourth, and seventh day of self-quarantine, and send required materials as below to chinaemb@simnet.is with the subject as " Close contact + Name".

2. A Valid Chinese Visa or Residence Permit
3. Date of the close contact
4. Three negative PCR test certificates during the monitoring period
5. Personal Health Monitoring Form
If everything is going well during the self-quarantine and health monitoring period, applying for HDC Code can be carried out according to the routine requirements. (For details, please refer to links below)
If there is a positive test result during the monitoring period, it would be handled according to the requirements of having an infection history.
Ⅳ. Requirements for people with suspected symptoms
Applicants are expected to undergo self-quarantine and conduct health monitoring for at least 14 days and complete the Personal Health Monitoring Form.
They should take PCR tests on the first, fourth, and seventh day of self-quarantine, and send required materials as below to chinaemb@simnet.is with the subject as "Suspected Symptoms + Name".
1. First page of passport
2. A Valid Chinese Visa or Residence Permit
3. Date of developing suspected symptoms
4. Three negative PCR test certificates during the monitoring period
5. Personal Health Monitoring Form
If everything is going well during the self-quarantine and health monitoring period, applying for HDC Code can be carried out according to the routine requirements. (For details, please refer to links below)
If there is a positive test result during the monitoring period, it would be handled according to the requirements of having an infection history.
Ⅴ. Passengers are requested to declare personal information, test results, vaccination status, infection history, and a history of close contact. If any fraud or deliberate concealment is found, our embassy will notify relevant domestic departments for liability.
