Starting from April 29th (Local Time in Iceland), all China-bound travelers are allowed to undergo Antigen Rapid Test (ART, including ART self-testing kit) instead of nucleic acid tests (PCR test) within 48 hours before boarding the direct flight to China. At boarding time, airlines will no longer check the negative PCR or ART test results. The Chinese Embassy in Iceland has updated its Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers. We recommend all China-bound travelers read and follow the instructions carefully.

Guide on Epidemic Prevention and Control Measures for China-bound Travelers:

I. Pre-boarding Test

All China-bound travelers will need to take Antigen Rapid Test (including ART self-testing kit) or PCR test for COVID-19 within 48 hours before boarding the direct flight to China, and can only travel to China when your test result is negative. If you received a positive test result, you should only travel to China when you tested negative against COVID-19. Self-testing kit is available in Icelandic pharmacies, groceries or supermarkets.

II. Health Declaration to China Customs

You are required to declare your negative test result to China Customs by filling the Health Declaration Form on the WeChat mini program of China Customs (scan the QR code below), or at https://htdecl.chinaport.gov.cn, or via the China Customs APP.

III. Airlines will no longer check the negative PCR or ART test results.

IV. Self-protection on the Aircraft

You are suggested to follow the regulations of Airlines and take good personal protection to reduce the risk of infection.

V. Inspection upon Entry

You can pass through customs with your health declaration result, and China Customs may check your proof of negative COVID-19 test result. If you pass the health declaration and entry inspection, no further requirements will be imposed. If there are anomalies in your health declaration or you are showing symptoms such as fever, you are required to cooperate with China Customs in epidemiological and medical investigations, and undergo sampling and testing of relevant infectious diseases.

VI. After-entry Epidemic Prevention and Control

After entry into China, travelers are required to strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the place where you stay.
